Syl’s Midge
Fly of the Month – Syl’s Midge
Syl Nemes, of soft hackle fame, contributed a pattern for every aquatic insect that completes its life cycle by emerging upward through water. This was Syl’s soft hackle pattern for a midge pupa. This pattern should be ideal for presentation during winter midge activity. It is also easy to tie and uses readily available materials.
