Paul Bowen will be the featured fly tyer at the Tap-N-Fill
Paul was born and raised on a farm on the banks of the South Fork just a mile east of the Lorenzo Bridge., and still lives there today. Paul took up Fly Fishing and fly tying shortly after his marriage in 1969 and it wasn’t long before friends and acquaintances began to ask Paul to tie flies for them. Paul has been tying flies now since the early 70’s, when Herters, hunting, and road kill were about the only suppliers of materials available to most tiers. Paul was one of the first two people to be certified by FFF as a fly casting instructor. Paul has presented numerous programs for local fly-fishing clubs, FFF conclaves, and our local fly-tying expo since its inception. Paul has been a fly-fishing guide on the Henrys Fork and South Fork and has been floating area rivers and fishing from a drift boat since the early 1980’s.
