Get ready for some powerful info from one of the area’s premier fishermen- John Stenerson. John will be speaking about the best ways to present streamers to trout out of a drift boat, important tips on drift boat safety, handling and overall etiquette at the launch ramp. This is a must see program for anyone who fishes out of a vessel on moving water!
John is one of our region’s most accomplished fly fishermen and fly tiers. John grew up on the banks of Idaho and Montana Rivers and Lakes. He started his career in the fly-fishing industry in 1986 at Salmon River Angler in Salmon, Idaho, then in 1990 at Frontier Anglers in Dillon, Montana. After college in 1994, John went to work for Jimmy’s All Seasons Angler in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Then, with an opportunity to diversify himself in the fishing industry, John went to work at ClackaCraft Drift Boats in 2005, where he currently works. As a Steelhead, Stillwater, and Trout stream angler, John has had the opportunity to fish with a wide range of anglers, which has helped him master different fly fishing and fly-tying techniques. John spends over 100 days a year chasing fish, big game, and birds, and he is also a contract tier for JD Flies and Solitude Flies.
