Brett Novik guides in the Florida Keys, and his presentation will touch on the saltwater flats surrounding the Lower Florida Keys.  Brett will touch on the species, the flies used, techniques, the seasons, tides and weather.

A little bit about Brett, in his own words:

“My love for the outdoors brought me to the Rocky Mountains from New York in the Spring of 1997.Having fished for Large Mouth Bass, Blue Gill and the occasional Rainbow Trout in the rivers and lakes in Upstate New York and against my parent’s wishes, I pursued my obsession to make a living in the great outdoors and applied for a job as a guide on the South Fork of the Snake River for the South Fork Lodge. As luck would have it, soon after I arrived in Idaho I met my wife, then Sue Talbot, and the two of us spent the next sixteen years guiding together on the South Fork and its surrounding waters. During my employment at the South Fork Lodge I became the Head Guide for
eight years and then managed the outfitting for the Lodge. I hold a US Coast Guard Captain’s License and in the winter months you will find me guiding in the waters of Louisiana for monster Redfish and in the Florida Keys for Tarpon, Bonefish and Permit under our charter business, OHC Fly Fishing Destinations.
Two years ago, Sue and I decide to further our careers and jump into the world of Destination travel. TIDEHEAD Fly Fishing Destinations was born. We believe that if we put forth the same effort and attention to customer service as guides into our destination travel business, the future will hold great promise for all of us.My list of accomplishments range from appearances on In Search of Fly Water on ESPN, Adventure Guides on the Outdoor Channel, a feature in Northwest Fly Fishing Magazine and most importantly, having made a career out of being a fish bum! I am currently an ambassador for Clacka Craft DriftBoats, Scott Rods, Hatch Reels, Scientific Anglers, Simms and Costa Sunglasses.”
