Bruce is one of the Greater Yellowstone region’s most experienced fly-fishers. This experience has allowed him to write articles for several major fly-fishing magazines and to author five major books on fly-fishing this area through Frank Amato Publications: Snake River Country Flies and Waters, The Yellowstone Park River Journal, and Trout Country Flies. Stackpole Books released his fourth, “Flies for the Greater Yellowstone Area”, in January, 2014 and fifth Fly-Fishing the Greater Yellowstone Backcountry in December, 2017. Bruce originated the East Idaho Fly Tying and Fly Fishing Expo concept. He has demonstrated his fly tying skills on an international basis. In 2001 he was the thirty-second recipient of the Federation of Fly Fishers’ Buz Buszek Memorial Award for fly tying excellence. He is associated with Jimmy’s All Seasons Angler in Idaho Falls.
