Hal is a retired Agricultural Economist with USDA-NRCS and worked on fish, wildlife and conservation issues in 13 western states. A fly tyer/fisher for almost 60 years. Taught numerous trout, steelhead and classic Atlantic salmon fly tying classes. Life Member of the Fly Fishers International and Trout Unlimited. Tyer Chair for the Eastern Idaho Fly Tyers Expo. Awarded the FFI Oregon Flyfisher of the Year 2018 and the Fly Tyer of the Year 2010. Past board member on the FFI Fly Tyers Group. Hal ives in St Anthony, ID and fished 120 days last year!
