I was born and raised in Rigby Idaho coming from a family of great outdoorsmen who had many years of experience in the Teton territory range and caribou range of Southeastern Idaho. Though my family never picked up fly fishing it always intrigued me since I have spent many years fishing with bait and tackle, I started in 2019 going into a rabbit hole I yet to come out yet. I was first introduced to fly tying in a class on BYUI campus. In the last couple of years I have done countless orders of custom flies ranging from Jimmies Fly Shop to anglers in Montana. The 2023 East Idaho Fly Tying Expo was my first year tying and I am currently employed at Fly Fish Food Jimmies as a shop assistant while going to school. Picking up euro nymphing has been one of my best productive techniques of fishing on the water in the surrounding area from the South Fork to euro nymphing small creeks like Big Elk. I’ve helped numerous people get started with euro nymphing and making the process a lot simpler through my short time as an angler and to get people out on the water to catch more fish. I am super excited to be giving a presentation about this techniquein the fly-fishing world.
