Upcoming classes offered by the Snake River Cutthroats
BEGINNING FLY TYING: Starts on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019 and runs for 6 weeks. Classes are from 7-9 pm. Basic techniques are taught emphasizing local patterns. Materials and notes are included for the cost of $40. Students (10 years and older) need to bring tying vise, scissors, a bobbin and other useful tools. Not sure what tools to bring? FLY ROD BUILDING: The date for the Rod Building Class will be January 17, 2019 at 6:00 P.M. At the first class, the instructors will help students decide which rod building components they will need and where to buy these components. The cost is $40.00. The class is for novice or expert. Build a fresh or salt water fly rod at half the cost. For more information call

Free Fly Casting Class: In May (Date and Time TBD), there will be a free casting class taught by FFF casting instructors. Class will last for approximately 2 hours and is located at Tautphaus Park by the fountain (southeast corner of the park off Boulevard). This is open to everyone with no registration required. Just show up! The class is designed for beginners and intermediate casting levels. This is a great chance to start casting or improve your casting ability, and it is free. It is best to bring your own fly rod and reel. However for students with no equipment, rods and reels will be provided by the club to be use during the class.
