Event: March Membership Meeting- Paul Hancock presentation “Climate change and Trout”

Mar
11

Paul Hancock will give a presentation on climate change and how the Energy Innovation an Carbon Dividend Act (H.R. 763) can drive down America’s carbon pollution and bring climate change under control, while unleashing American technology innovation and ingenuity.  This bipartisan plan has been endorsed by Trout Unlimited.

Paul, along with Mike Larkin,  a retired Idaho fish biologist, will answer questions on the challenges local species are suffering due to climate change in Idaho.

Paul began fly fishing and skiing in the early 70’s and continues to fish frequently.  Paul is a lifetime member of TU and continues to provide manual labor with conservation projects primarily with Portneuf Valley Anglers, TU, and the Sagebrush Steppe Land Trust group.

Paul became aware of the national non-partisan organization Citizens Climate Lobby in early 2016 and co-founded the local Pocatello chapter with Linda Engel.  There are over 400,000 members world-wide and over 400 chapters in the USA, with one in every Congressional district.  Paul joined the Conservative Caucus within CCL in 2018 and has been to Washington DC twice to lobby our Congressional delegation and will go again in February.
