The Idaho Department of Fish and Game (IDFG) is requesting assistance with a habitat restoration project at the Deer Parks Wildlife Mitigation Unit (DPWMU) near Menan, Idaho, in Jefferson County.

The project is scheduled for October 30 and 31, 2026, and will involve planting approximately 4,300 trees and shrubs, ranging in size from 1-gallon to 5-gallon root stock. Deer fencing will also be installed to protect the newly planted vegetation from wildlife.

This project will provide an opportunity to participate in meaningful habitat restoration work on Deer Parks WMU while developing teamwork, responsibility, and hands-on conservation skills.

Items Needed:
– Gloves
– Jackets/coats appropriate for cold weather
– Closed-toe shoes
– Warm hats
– Eye protection (optional)
– Water
– Snacks

Tools Required:
– Shovels
– Fencing pliers
